2018 Elect Robert Hostetler US Representative (TX Dist 20)

About the Candidate

I would like to take a few moments to tell a little about myself so that you can get to know me during this campaign. I’m starting this campaign knowing that I will be the underdog. But this election is not about me. It is about restoring our Republic and getting our country on a better path towards prosperity and civil liberties, which have been under attack by both the right and the left in Washington DC and in our state capitals.

I want to tell you why I am running for public office, but first, you need to know that I am not a career politician nor do I seek to become a career politician. I’ve had a long career before and that was as an insurance agent where later I served my country over twenty years in the United States Air Force and the Ohio Air National Guard. Yes, I’m originally from Ohio and I moved to Texas in 1999 courtesy of the Air Force. I love it here in San Antonio. San Antonio is a unique city.

After leaving the service I had owned a gift and candle shop where I later devoted much time to writing. I have recently written a book titled “2033 - A World At Peace”.  This book is a manifesto of my ideas on how as a nation we can prosper and grow together united. I will share some of these ideas on this website on how we can move beyond political and religious extremism in this new Golden Age. I will be introducing the concept of Conscious Politics. I plan to share some of my personal legal battles fighting several corrupt government agencies because of my service to my country. That was a great awakening experience for me. No veteran should have to fight their state and the federal government to assert their job protection rights under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA); because they incurred a service-connected disability.  I am proud of my prior service to my country.

In recent time, I have become involved in green/free energy research where I discovered a way to recycle electrical energy. The electric vehicles of tomorrow will not need to be plugged in because the vehicle can regenerate its own power, never having to stop to refuel or being recharged. This technology can be used to power small airplanes, boats/ships, and electric passenger trains.

I am running for the U.S. House of Representatives because I want to bring about positive and benevolent changes to our country in fixing our political and governmental processes. Now there may be those who will claim that I lack the political experience to run for Congress. I lack the experience in making back room deals to further a political career at the detriment of the people. I could care less about being politically correct. I do care, however, about being patriotically correct.

I am an American and I’m proud of my flag.
